Social Networking
Success Story EatRightAmerica.com is the top healthy eating member website in the United States who is now expanding to the United Kingdom and Canada. Because of cultural and language differences, ERA was faced with having to duplicate its website and modify the content for each country. This would have been a time consuming and expensive effort. Then ERA would have had to update and support all three websites. Cynergy Networks created a processing system for ERA that customized graphics and text automatically for each country. This saved ERA thousands of dollars right away and tens of thousands in future costs. Innovative thinking, expert skills and extensive experience are what we use to make technology work for you.

In the next issue: We'll look at Facebook content and Twitter. Also, more about Web 2.0. |
||
Web 2.0 Web 2.0 is a term that first surfaced around 2004. In general, it was part of a movement to create websites and tools that made the user more of a participant. Websites tended to be a one directional flow of information from the publisher to the user. In limited cases, the user could fill out a form or email back to the website publisher. Web 2.0 started increasing the lines of communications and pointing them not only back and forth, but side to side. This allowed users of the website to use the website to communicate directly with other users. If there is nothing for your visitors to do other than read, you need to move your website forward. In the next issue, we'll explore tools and methods you can use. Can't wait? Email us at info@CynergyNetworks.com.
Product Review
Quick Tips Connect With Your Members It is great for the members to connect to one another, but you should also connect the staff to the members. Make sure you have a staff page that has a picture and bio for as many members of the staff as you can. Broadcast Emails A good rule of thumb for broadcast emails is once to twice per week for clubs and about half that for businesses to clients. If you send too many, they will start to be ignored. Too few and you are missing the opportunity to connect with your members and clients.
